Nate Hanson is the co-host and co-creator of Almost Heretical, a podcast that explores theology, the Bible, the church, and more from a fresh perspective that was once off-limits in his conservative, reformed past. As a former pastor and missionary, Nate’s personal journey of deconstruction and questioning of traditional Christian doctrines inspired him to create a platform for others to explore these ideas in a safe and welcoming space.
Shelby Hanson is the co-host of Almost Heretical and a bible scholar with an MA in Biblical Studies. After losing her fundamentalist faith while studying at a Christian university, Shelby has since been using her education and expertise to help others reimagine their relationship with the Bible and Christianity. Alongside Nate, she provides a fresh perspective on theology, gender, sexuality, and more, challenging traditional interpretations of the faith.
